Wallburg Academy is a family owned innovative preschool serving children six weeks through twelve years of age. Chelsey Cosper, co-owner and director, has an associates degree in early childhood education and a bachelors degree in child and adolescent development, along with 10 yrs. of experience working with children. She is so excited to pursue her lifelong dream and to bring her passion for children into the Wallburg community!



Curriculum

We will be using The Creative Curriculum to provide the foundation for academic learning at Wallburg Academy. This age-appropriate curriculum encourages children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas. It teaches children HOW to learn, not just in preschool, but all through their lives.

At Wallburg Academy, we believe teacher-child interaction is a key component to the development of each child. To make this a priority, we will follow the voluntary enhanced ratios throughout the center, along with enhanced space for each child. This will provide each child with the potential to reach their highest level of optimal development possible.

At Wallburg Academy, we share a common desire with parents, which is to provide the absolute best for the children. Our high-quality teachers, creative and fun educational programs, jubilant age appropriate playgrounds and of course, our state-of-the-art facility make us stand high above our competitors.

Our Philosophy

We believe that children experience the greatest growth when they feel secure and wanted. Therefore, we will provide a safe, nurturing and trusting environment for our children. Together, we will establish routines that are predictable and consistent. All children will be treated with gentleness and respect.

We are committed to EMPOWERING YOUNG MINDS and believe that educators are important role models. Therefore, we use modeling as a vital tool in our classrooms. We use constructive guidance and positive reinforcement. Children are encouraged to take ownership in shaping their classroom dynamics through openly sharing their work, ideas and personalities.



Wallburg Academy offers parents to see real-time streaming video of their child learning and playing while in care from their computers, phones or tablets. Parents can be confident knowing that their child’s safety, well-being and education are the top priority at the center. They can rest assured knowing that they’ve placed their children in the best place
possible.

Our Mission

Our Mission at Wallburg Academy is to provide each child we serve with a consistent sense of belonging in a safe and trusting environment. We will strive to educate children through play and EMPOWER each child to be independent thinkers and life-long learners.

School Age

Wallburg Academy will pick up after school from the following schools: Wallburg Elementary, Union Cross Elementary and Friendship Elementary. Please inquire about pickups at other local schools. We would love to be able to assist your family for after school care! We also offer summer camp for school age children.



Our Facility

Wallburg Academy is approximately 10,000 sq. ft. including 8 classroom suites, café, large activity suite for after school students, NEWLY INSTALLED Splash Pad, and 3 large outdoor play areas separated for age groups.

We have a passion for children and are dedicated to making our school a great success. Our door is always open for parents to come ask questions and to give suggestions and comments. We are confident that you will agree with us that this will be the best environment for your child!
